I've recently made a bit of a breakthrough in my latest series of paintings, which I am tentatively called "Panotrait Series", as the initial paintings gave an overwhelming panoramic feel to the portrait. I have since adapted the technique, thus the term tentatively. In the Panotrait Series I have managed to augment, painting, mathematics, geometry, collage, painting, drawing, and print making. Which has led to some fascinating, if somewhat unexpected insights into how I construct portraits, and in turn how I view portraits. I am currently working adapting this new found technique to other disciplines in painting. Thus far its proved extremely fruitful, and so I hope to co-opt this technique into the other disciplines I have listed above, as theoretically I think it can cross over into them all......
